This perfume is inspired by a novel written by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, although it is not specifically associated with any of the characters in the book. However, it tries to portray the archetypal Sicilian man with his strong ties to his motherland. He is tall, has a lot of ego and muscular features, which makes him powerful, prone to anger, yes, but in a controlled way. His authoritarian manner commands respect, but his simple attitude to family traditions ties him firmly to his roots. A loving caring person who radiates generosity and makes everyone around him feel welcome. A man of style and elegance, with a rational mind capable of creating with a spirit of freedom.
Gattopardo is a truly divisive fragrance, composed of earthy woods, such as patchouli, that unite perfectly with the dryness of cedar and nestle close to amber. The main notes of bergamot and fig milk form a counterpoint to an unexpected accord of whisky. The heart of the fragrance is supported by an uncompromising floral note of Geranium, while a dusty Iris suggests the patina of time. Benzoin brightens the soft warm base, accompanied by hazelnuts, almonds and cocoa powder, while beeswax and musk suggest a very discreet animalic note.
